The location of the hostel was ideal, with many attractions within walking distance. the staff were helpful and friendly, providing great service. the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms was well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. the availability of filtered water and comfortable beds with charging points were appreciated.
The lack of sound isolation in the rooms made it difficult to have a peaceful night's sleep.

The value I got for my money at this black hostel was great. The room was clean, comfortable, and well air conditioned. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, and there were amazing restaurants and the night market nearby. The staff, particularly PC, were incredibly kind and helpful. PC showed me around the city, treated me to a traditional Thai breakfast, and even helped me plan a tour in the jungle. I really felt at home here thanks to PC's extraordinary kindness and expertise.

Beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. . the location was excellent, right in the heart of the city's old town square. the lady downstairs was incredibly helpful, providing assistance with tour bookings, motorbike rentals, and sharing interesting stories about Thai culture and people.
The double room was small and noisy, which may not be ideal for light sleepers. . the cleanliness of the rooms was lacking, with dirty sheets upon arrival and unclean bathrooms lacking basic toiletries.

This hostel, located in a convenient spot near the city center, provides a quiet and comfortable place to rest. The friendly staff, especially Matsea , goes above and beyond to assist with organizing tours and offering helpful tips. The hostel offers a simple but satisfying breakfast, strong Wi-Fi, and the option to rent bikes, making it easy to explore the area independently.
Felt truly spoilt, no reason to complain.

My stay at Kayan Hostel was incredible! The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, even showing me around the city and giving me helpful tips. The hostel had clean rooms, fast wifi, and a convenient location. I highly recommend this place!
The thin walls, which made it a bit noisy at times. But other than that, everything was great!

The convenient central location of this hostel made it incredibly easy to explore the nearby cafes and restaurants. The WiFi worked well, which was a major plus for staying connected during my stay. Another advantage was the inclusion of breakfast, which consisted of toast and jam – a simple but satisfying start to the day.
One major downside was the noise, as I could hear everyone moving and talking both inside and outside the hostel. Additionally, the lack of hot water in one bathroom and limited hot water in the other was quite inconvenient.

We had a fantastic stay at a hostel in Chiang Mai. the place was clean, comfortable, and had a quiet atmosphere. the staff were friendly and always ready to help. They even allowed us to check in early after our night train. the common area had cozy couches and convenient bag storage. the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was always cool with good air conditioning. We enjoyed a simple yet satisfying breakfast in the mornings. the location was great, and we had easy access to nearby attractions. One person who made our stay truly special was a lady named P.C. She was like the mother of the hostel and went out of her way to help us with our plans. She booked our trips, including a free trip to Pai, and even took care of our friend who was in the hospital. She showed us genuine warmth and kindness, and we are truly grateful to have met her. Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent. 👍.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town square. I loved being able to easily explore the area and rent bikes next door. The highlight of my stay was the amazing lady who helped with tours and made me feel so welcome. She knew everything about Thai culture and made my experience in Chiang Mai unforgettable. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, and I enjoyed the nice cafe on the bottom floor. Despite a small issue with the air-con leaking, it didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the stay. I highly recommend Kayan for a memorable and convenient stay in Chiang Mai.

The value for money at the hostel was excellent, with comfortable beds and privacy curtains in the dorm rooms. The location was great, with plenty of dining options nearby, and the staff, particularly PC, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay.
The morning meal could have been improved with more variety or additional options.
